N A T U R E   M U S I C

is a project investigating the representation of nature through music, exploring works from the Baroque and now. Through this process we hope to foster new perspectives and ways of listening to (with) nature. 


Seán Ó Dálaigh led a series of field recording workshops in Killarney National Park during the months of July and August, 2019.

The project culminated in two concert in Killarney House with the Scotia Ensemble, Kerry. Music included Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons', feauturing Jane Hackett as soloist and the premiere of a new work, 'folachas (dark landscape)', for string ensemble, electronics and field recordings by Seán Ó Dálaigh.
